OSHIMA Unused Silk Kimono, Japanese Blue Vintage Silk Jacket Coat, Vintage OSHIMA Kimono, Gift for Her

This vintage Kimono jacket coat is made of silk fabric.
The lining is made of silk and polyester fabric.
Oshima Tsumughi woven( pongee ) is a one of the famous wovens in Japan.
"Oshima Tsumugi" is a textile produced mainly in Amami Oshima in Kagoshima Prefecture ( south of Japan).
The silk fabric is shiny and beautiful and it's also light.
This Kimono has basting threads on the hem, sleeve and neck and it's unused Kimono.
There is a stain part on the center back of lining as you can see on the photo, but this Kimono is in good condition. The silk belt is not included.

Tatsugo pattern
The tatsugo pattern represents Amami Oshima.
It is a geometric pattern based on the cycads and habu that grow on Amami Oshima.
